Seven?? Really??

Seven years ago today, Matt and I became parents. That is hard to believe. It just doesn't seem like Brandon should be that old. But he is, and we had a good day celebrating HIM!! We had a party for him at the house with some friends, enjoying games, cookie cake and ice cream, and presents. I think a good time was had by all.

Our present to Brandon was a "Green Machine." He has a tricycle and has ridden it so much and so hard that the front wheel is cracked, so when we saw this we knew he would love it. And he did! He and Matt got it put together and had it outside to test it out. I think he will have a lot of fun with it for a while.

Happy Birthday Brandon! We love you so much and you have no idea how much joy you bring to our lives. We want all the best for you!

First Snow

It is cold here! It has been so windy here! That makes for a bitter combination! That didn't stop the kids from wanting to go out and play in the snow. They didn't stay out long though. Long enough to slide down the hill a few times and get rosy red cheeks!

All I Want for Christmas......

All I want for Christmas is my 1 front tooth? Yep, that is if you are Brandon. Both front teeth have been loose for a little while, but he has been wiggling the one tooth for quite some time now. We have been encouraging him to just get it out (okay maybe I have been doing that cause I just can't stand it). Well, Brandon decided he would get it out when he was ready. He got it so loose without actually pulling it out, that he woke up last Thurs. to find the tooth had fallen out. He found it in his bed.

My dad, Brandon's papa, has been waiting to give him $5 for when he got the tooth out. See, I am not the only one encouraging him to get it out!

Missing a front tooth does change Brandon's look a little. He is now our Mr. Snaggle-tooth, and so cute!! Just look at that smile!!

The Tradition Continues

I think this is the earliest that we have gone to cut down our Christmas tree. We had the time to do it today and the weather was wonderful so why not! We went back to Sunbrite tree farm and set out to search for the perfect tree. It didn't take us too long to decide which one to get. Brandon and Anna helped Matt cut it down and take it back to have the needles shook out and wrapped up to be taken home. It is now in its spot between the kids bedrooms and waiting to be decorated by them. We also have an artificial tree that goes in the great room, so the real tree is special for them. I remember back when it was just Matt and I starting this tradition. What a blessing it is to continue to do this with our kids.

Just Being Silly

I am doing this post because it just makes me laugh every time I see the pictures. My brother, Mike, taught the kids some new silly faces while we were together for Thanksgiving. Both Brandon and Anna just kept doing them over and over and I knew I needed to capture them with the camera. Even Dad and Kim had to get in on he action. So thanks Uncle Mike for making us all laugh, as usual.

Happy Halloween 2010

Hulky's Lil Farm

Matt's cousin, Daryl, had a get together at his farm this past weekend. He does a bonfire, hayride and lets the kids ride his horse. We have not been able to go in years past so we were glad to have the chance this year. The highlight of the day for Anna was getting to ride the horse. I think Brandon's favorite part of the day was the hayride and just playing with cousins, Avery and Deacon.
